We all want flawless healthy skin!
It’s no wonder the beauty industry is forecasted to reach $265 billion in 2017.
But do we know what ingredients they are using and how it affects us in the long run? According to an article on Huffington Post (“10 Toxic Beauty Ingredients to Avoid”) the synthetic ingredients found in most beauty products are skin irritants, cancer cell generators and endocrine disruptors which means they can produce adverse developmental and neurological effects in humans.
How do we make sure we don’t introduce and allow these harmful products into our lives? One way to do so is by using organic/all-natural products. One of the most commonly used components around the world is coffee! When used topically its benefits are completely wonderful and for some not so surprising!
Highlighted below are my favorite three benefits that I found in “6 Surprising Ways Coffee Makes You Prettier” on Prevention.com.
- It acts as a natural skin brightener. Due to its antioxidant and exfoliator benefits, it prevents clogged pores and softens fine lines.
- Aids in reducing puffy eyes- it does this by dehydrating and constricting blood vessels; therefore, removing excess water.
- Exfoliates- it gets rid of dead cells and on the rest of your body, it softens rough skin as well as diminishes cellulite.
These are just a few benefits of using coffee for your face and body. You can search online for natural products that contain coffee and see for yourself the wonders it will do for you. As for me, I have found my go-to coffee-based masque. I use it every day and my skin feels and looks radiant.
